Shenandoah goes to work on house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 1:00 AM on Friday, July 6, the Shenandoah Fire Department was dispatched to the area of West Penn and North Chestnut Streets for the report of a possible house fire.  Frackville Ladder 43-20, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 and Nuremberg Ladder 581 were also on the first alarm with Shenandoah EMS. Mahanoy City makes quick hit on house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:33 PM on Wednesday, June 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Altamont fire company for their RIT to 24 West Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house fire. Citizens Tower 456 was the first rig on the street and was given additional that police were on scene reporting smoke showing and oxygen cylinders inside.  The Tower arrived on the scene and Lieutenant 456 (Shapanksy) gave a size-up of a two story, end of row with smoke showing from the second floor. Four perish in Shenandoah fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Shenandoah ALS Medic 64 to 119 East Coal Street in Shenandoah for a reported house fire.  All companies were quickly re-alerted for a working fire with entrapment. Ashland fire brings in two alarms

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 03:18 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Ashland Fire Department to 1438 Market Street in Ashland for smoke in a dwelling.  Shortly after the dispatched Ashland PD arrived in the area with heavy smoke in the intersection.  The box was quickly upgraded for the dwelling fire. Shenandoah worker sends one to burn center

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 9:00 AM on Sunday, March 11, 2012 Schuylkill County 911 sent the first alarm assignment to the 300 Block of West Columbus Street for the possible structure fire.  The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS. Wilkes-Barre fire goes “All Hands”

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 6:00 AM Wilkes-Barre City fire was dispatched to 216 Dana Street in the city for the reported structure fire.  Responding units were advised that the 9-1-1 had already received over twenty calls reporting a working fire upon dispatch.  The first arriving chief reported heavy smoke showing from a block away and immediately requested additional alarms as the fire had already spread to a neighboring exposure. Freeland house burns on Christmas

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Shortly before 10:30 PM on Christmas night, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm assignment to 425 Alvin Street in Freeland Borough for a reported dwelling fire.  Most of the first alarm units were already on scene of a multiple alarm dwelling fire in neighboring Butler Township.  Non-essential units quickly picked up and responded to Freeland.  A second alarm was requested to replace the committed units. West Hazleton job knocked in minutes

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 9:30 PM on Saturday, September 3, Luzerne County 9-1-1 sent out the box to 311 West Green Street in West Hazleton Borough for a reported working dwelling fire with entrapment.  The first alarm assignment included Station 24 (West Hazleton), Station 10 (Hazle Township), West Hazleton BLS 583 and APTS Medic 11.   Hazle Tower-Ladder 107 and Engine 102 were on the street immediately upon dispatch and were advised of multiple reports a working fire with people possibly trapped inside. Allentown fire hits 3rd alarm

ALLENTOWN, PA – A fire broke out in the third floor of a dwelling Friday afternoon.  City firefighters were dispatched around 3:20 PM on July 29 to 14th and Chew Streets for a dwelling fire with possible entrapment.  The box included Engine 4, Engine 9, Engine 10, Truck 1 and Battalion 2.  Apparatus responding from the Central Station reported smoke showing from 11th and Chew. Allen firefighters find garage well off

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Just before 6 PM on Tuesday, June 21, Northampton County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Stations 45 (Allen Township) and 46 (East Allen Township) to the area of Howertown Road and Nor-Bath Boulevard in Allen Township for a garage fire.
