Locustdale abandoned hits second alarm

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA –  Shortly after 2:30 AM on Wednesday March 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 4 (Butler Township) to the area of Main Street in Locust Dale for a reported house on fire. First responding units were advised that the caller was reporting a well involved abandoned dwelling.  Butler Township Police Unit 51 arrived on scene and confirmed the working fire and found it the be heavily involved in fire. Garage burns in Blythe Township

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA –  At 4:15 PM on Sunday, February 24 Schuylkill County dispatched Fire Districts 2 (Kaska and Cumbola), 32 (Walker Twp.) and 54 (New Philadelphia) to 1120 Mountain Road at Kuperavage Coal Company in Blythe Township for a reported working commercial garage fire. 4 alarm fire with a jumper in Shenandoah, PA

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:20 AM on Saturday February 23, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department, Shenandoah ALS and Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 to 38 West Coal Street in Shenandoah for a reported dwelling fire with entrapment. Police and EMS quickly arrived on scene confirming a working fire in the middle of a row. The responders also confirmed entrapment with a female hanging out a third story window. Arson fire rocks Shamokin

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Around 10:30 PM on Monday, January 28, fire crews in Northumberland County were cleaning up from a two alarm job in Coal Township when the first alarm assignment was transmitted for Sunbury and Franklin Streets for a reported dwelling fire. Coal Township hits second alarm

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Around 7:30 PM on Monday, January 29, Northumberland County sent out the first alarm assignment for a dwelling fire at the corner of Wabash Street and Sherman Street in Coal Township. First arriving units found heavy fire showing from the first floor.  Brady Engine 151 arrived and began to stretch multiple lines.  As other first alarm units were arriving the second alarm was transmitted bringing in companies from surrounding communities. House burns in West Mahanoy Township

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:47 PM on Wednesday, December 12, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) with the Hookies and Columbia from the Shenandoah Fire Department to 1200 West Coal Street in the Township for a reported house fire.  Shenandoah ALS was also included on the first alarm assignment. Small fire in Shenandoah factory

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before midnight on December 7, the Shenandoah Fire Department was dispatched with Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 and Shenandoah ALS to 30 E Poplar Street in Shenandoah for a reported business building fire.  The caller stated there was smoke coming from an abandoned factory across from the address. Hazleton battles stubborn apartment building fire

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 11:15 on Sunday, December 2 Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched the Hazleton City Fire Department and APTS Medic 11 to the unit block of North Cedar Street for a reported residential structure fire. Chief 2 (Jones) went responding and was advised the center was receiving multiple calls for an apartment building fire with children possibly trapped at 53 North Cedar Street. Convenience store hits second alarm in Girardville

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:25 PM on Wednesday November 28, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Girardville Fire Department to 146 North Second Street at the R&R Quik Mart for a reported commercial building fire. Girardville Police arrived on the scene shortly after the advisory and found a working fire from a convenient store attached to a two story building. A second alarm was transmitted within minutes of the initial dispatch as crews found heavy fire throughout the building.
