SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 11:48 AM on Saturday, October 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Mahanoy City EMS, Shenandoah ALS, Humane Fire (Mahanoy City) and West End Rescue (Mahanoy City) to 350 Brandonville Road, Mahanoy Township, for a motor vehicle accident with injury.
Engine 451 responded and was advised of a motorcycle accident with one female injured. Ambulance 4803 and Medic 64 were also advised of the additional and requested aeromedical be placed on standby. Engine 451 and 4803 arrived on scene to find the motorcycle accident at the top of the Brandonville Mountain with one walking wounded. Firefighters began to perform traffic control while EMS began to immobilize the patient. Once assessed, aeromedical was released from standby as the patient had very minor injuries. Fire crews remained on the scene for less than thirty minutes before clearing.
