Ashland finds fire on the porch

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Minutes before midnight on July 9, the Ashland fire department was dispatched with Mt. Carmel Truck 2 to 931 Brock Street in Ashland for a reported house fire.

Police arrived on scene within a minute of dispatch and confirmed a working fire with fire showing on the A side.

American Engine 38-10 arrived on the scene and stretched their bumper line. The fire was quickly knocked down and found to be a debris fire on the porch. Engine 38-15 staged on Brock Street and all other units were cancelled.

All units were placed available within thirty minutes. The fire chief and police remained on scene to investigate the fire.
