SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Firefighters from Carbon and Schuylkill Counties responded to reports of a barn fire Sunday afternoon. Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Blue Mountain Drive and Fort Franklin Road in West Penn Twp., Schuylkill County. Responding units were advised of a caller reporting hay on fire within the barn. First arriving officers found a barn with smoke showing. The ladder and an additional engine from Tamaqua were requested. A tanker fill site was established on SR 309 just south of the SR 895 intersection.
