Classic Car rolls over in Nuremberg

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. – A 1965 Ford Mustang rolled onto its roof in the village of Nuremberg in the evening of Sunday, April 5. Nuremberg-Weston firefighters were dispatched to the area of 170 Nuremberg Mountain Road at 7:25 PM and found the vehicle on its roof on 1st Street and leaking gasolin. Heavy fire found at Pottsville box

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 3:27 AM on Saturday, April 4, Box 15 was struck for the City of Pottsville for a house fire in the 500 Block of East Norwegian. Chief 68-3 arrived to find heavy fire to the rear of 533 East Norwegian Street. A working fire was declared and Schuylkill Haven was requested for their Rapid Intervention Team. Ashland makes quick work of fire in a vacant

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 8:55 PM on Wednesday, March 18, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched a first alarm assignment for a house fire at 1016 Market Street in Ashland. Fire District 38 (Ashland) and 45 (Girardville) were due on the box. Chief 38 arrived on the scene to find a two story end-of-the-row dwelling with smoke showing from the second floor. Basement fire damages Mahanoy City rowhome

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 5:12 PM on Tuesday, March 17, Fire District 48 was sent to 724 West Centre Street for a report of a house fire. Chief 48-3 was advised of smoke coming from the corner of a rowhome with an alarm sounding. The chief advised he had smoke showing from multiple blocks away. Lansford building fire hits 3rd alarm

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. – Around 4:15 AM on Thursday, March 12, Carbon County 9-1-1 transmitted a first alarm for a building fire in the unit block of East Ridge Street in Lansford. Police radioed a report of a working apartment building fire across from their police station. Police had fire showing from the second floor which was rapidly growing. Railfanning: NS 4005, RBMN Drone Shots & Canadian Pacific Heritage Unit 7015

This week I got out trackside for a few unexpected trips. On Monday I captured NS 4005 lead train 11Z South through Nescopeck, PA on it’s trip from Binghamton, NY to Enola, PA. Later Monday, I heard the RBMN Mountain Job getting track authority to go South through Gilberton toward Tamaqua. Today, word spread quickly that Canadian Pacific Heritage Unit 7015 was trailing on NS train 14R out of Enola. Firefighters battle overnight blaze in Tamaqua

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 12:09 AM on Sunday, January 26, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 transmitted Box 13 in the borough of Tamaqua for a house fire at 126 Gay Street. First responding units were advised of multiple calls reporting a house fire with people possibly inside. Chief 65 arrived to assume command with a working fire in a two story duplex. Massive fire destroys Shenandoah factory

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 3:50 AM on Friday, January 17, the Shenandoah Fire Department was dispatched with Mahanoy City West End Rescue 48-50 to the 200 Block of East Lloyd Street in Shenandoah for a possible commercial building fire. Shenandoah Police arrived in the area and reported smoke showing from 125 East Lloyd Street.
