SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 8:29 PM on Friday, January 27, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 379 Ohio Avenue in West Mahanoy Township (Shenandoah Heights) for a garage fire. The first alarm included the West Mahanoy Twp. FD (Heights, William Penn & Altamont), Shenandoah FD (Squrt 745 & Engine 742), Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Englewood RIT.
Engine 881 and Squrt 745 arrived on the scene to find a moderate smoke condition throughout the residence with a malfunctioning oil burner. The box was held to West Mahanoy units and Squrt 745.
