Mahanoy City finds dwelling well involved on arrival

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:50 AM on Thursday, October 27, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 10 North 8th Street in the borough for a reported house on fire.  Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Mahanoy City EMS were also due. Assistant Chief 455 was the first officer on air and was advised on multiple calls reporting a house on fire with a car still in the driveway.  The chief was on scene shortly after reporting a two story, wood frame detached dwelling with heavy fire throughout.  The status of occupants was unknown. 3+ alarms for Ashland fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just after 7AM on Friday, May 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Districts 38 (Ashland) and 45 (Girardville) to 421 West Center Street in Ashland for a reported house fire. A second alarm was quickly struck as Chief 38-02 arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke showing from a two and a half story residence with exposures attached on both sides.  The second alarm brought units from Altamont, Englewood, Gordon and Mount Carmel. Flames destroy garage, spread to Brandonville home

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:15 AM on Sunday, May 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm to the area of 57 Main Boulevard in the Brandonville section of East Union Township for a reported garage on fire. Chief 09-02 went responding and was advised of two calls reporting a garage fire, one caller reported hearing a bang then saw fire from the garage.  While responding, an additional call was received reporting a fully involved garage. 3+ alarms in Mount Carmel

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – At 8:20AM, Northumberland County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm to 232 South Beech Street in Mount Carmel for a working house fire.  As the first alarm tones were being dropped, local police got on radio to report a fire on Beech Street.  The police were advised the fire department was dispatched and about ten calls were received reporting the fire.  Police advised there was a working fire in the rear with three houses already involved. Shenandoah makes quick work of house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:21PM on Friday, April 22, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm to 217 West Arlington Street in Shenandoah for a reported house on fire.  The Shenandoah Fire Department was due with Frackville Ladder 43-20, Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Lost Creek EMS. Heavy fire from Shenandoah dwelling

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 13, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 508 West Mount Vernon Street in Shenandoah for a reported house on fire.  The first alarm included the Shenandoah Fire Department, Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 and Frackville Ladder 43-20.  Shenandoah EMS was also due on the response. Minersville rescues one from apartment building fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just after 2:30 PM on Friday, March 25, the Minersville Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Sunbury Street and Delaware Street for a reported apartment building fire.  Police units in the area noticed smoke coming from the windows of the building on the corner. Minersville Fire Chief 510 arrived on the scene and confirmed a working building fire and requested the second alarm be dispatched bringing Pottsville Stations 50 and 60 to the scene. Hazle Twp. finds fire showing from apartment building

LUZERNE COUNTY – At 4:57 PM on Tuesday, October 16, Hazle Township Fire, Harwood Fire and APTS Medic 11 were dispatched to 1143 Harwood Road in Hazle Township for a reported commercial structure fire. Hazle Township Assistant Chief 141-4 (Zoshak) went responding and was advised of a three story multi-family apartment building receiving multiple calls for smoke coming from the building. Bathroom fire quickly doused in the patch

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the West Mahanoy Township Fire Department (William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and Altamont) as well as Squrt 745 from Shenandoah to 529 Mount Olive Boulevard in the Lost Creek section of the township for a dwelling fire. Altamont Engine 367 was the first unit responding and was advised of a fire in the bathroom.  William Penn Engine 888 and Chief 889 arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke in the area and confirmed a working fire.
