Flames destroy garage, spread to Brandonville home

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:15 AM on Sunday, May 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the first alarm to the area of 57 Main Boulevard in the Brandonville section of East Union Township for a reported garage on fire. Chief 09-02 went responding and was advised of two calls reporting a garage fire, one caller reported hearing a bang then saw fire from the garage.  While responding, an additional call was received reporting a fully involved garage. Garage burns in Blythe Township

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA –  At 4:15 PM on Sunday, February 24 Schuylkill County dispatched Fire Districts 2 (Kaska and Cumbola), 32 (Walker Twp.) and 54 (New Philadelphia) to 1120 Mountain Road at Kuperavage Coal Company in Blythe Township for a reported working commercial garage fire. New Philly Engine 54-11 was the first apparatus on the scene and confirmed the working fire with smoke showing from the building.  A crosslay was stretched into the building a fire attack was initiated.  Engine 54-12 arrived staged behind 54-11 while Kaska Engine 2-10 secured a supply line from a nearby hydrant.  Additional resources were … Continue reading

Ashland garage goes two bells

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 12:48 AM on Wednesday, August 1, the Ashland Fire Department was dispatched to 16 North 12th Street in their borough for a reported garage fire.  Mt. Carmel Truck 2 (Northumberland County) was also on the first alarm.   Ashland Police Unit 42 was the first responder on scene and found heavy fire from a garage in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street.  Chief 38 arrived on scene shortly after and assumed command. Mahanoy City garage catches fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – On Monday, July 2, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department to 439 East South Street for a reported garage fire.  The first alarm assignment also included Frackville Ladder 43-20, Altamont for the Rapid Intervention Team and Mahanoy City EMS. Shenandoah contains garage fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Fire & Film Correspondent Tony Flaim was on the scene of a working garage fire in the borough of Shenandoah.  Around 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 28, firefighters were sent to 413 West Coal Street in the borough for a reported garage fire.  Chief 740 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire in a garage with heavy black smoke showing.  Engine 742 arrived and stretched an inch and three-quarter line and began to knock the fire.  Squrt 745 arrived and assisted the initial attack crew.  EMS was summoned to the scene for a patient with … Continue reading

Man falls into hole, seriously injured

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly before noon on Tuesday, November 8, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah ALS to 215 West New York Street in Shenandoah for a traumatic injury.  Moments later, the rescue assignment was dispatched to assist with extrication.  The assignment included the Shenandoah Fire Department and West End Rescue 993 from Mahanoy City. Allen firefighters find garage well off

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PA – Just before 6 PM on Tuesday, June 21, Northampton County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire Stations 45 (Allen Township) and 46 (East Allen Township) to the area of Howertown Road and Nor-Bath Boulevard in Allen Township for a garage fire. Fire destroys Hanover Twp. garage

NORTHAMTPON COUNTY, PA – Just before 7PM on Sunday, March 27, Northampton County 911 dispatched Fire and EMS 15 (Hanover Twp.) to 3930 Post Drive in Hanover Twp. for a reported garage fire attached to a dwelling. Captain 1554 went responding and advised he had smoke in the area. Chief 1551 was advised on the conditions and requested an engine from Fire 53 (Hecktown). 1554 arrived on the scene, confirmed a worker and established Fire 15 Command.
