Large home destroyed by fire in Columbia County
COLUMBIA COUNTY, PA – Around 8:30 PM on Saturday, April 21 Columbia County dispatched Stations 270 (Numidia), 50 (Catawissa) and 350 (Aristes) to 2191 Mill Road in Locust Twp. for a reported dwelling fire. Units were quickly re-alerted for the working fire. First arriving crews found a large home set back in the woods with heavy fire throughout. A detached shed was also found to be on the fire on the B side of the structure. All occupants and pets had escaped the house prior to the fire department’s arrival. Building burns at Upper Macungie farm
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – After 10:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, Lehigh County 9-1-1 dispatched the box to 852 Independent Road in Upper Macungie Township for the reported building fire. Initial responding units were given a report that police were on scene of a pole building with smoke showing in close proximity to a barn. Extra tankers from both Lehigh and Berks Counties were quickly added to the box. Crews arrived to find a large pole building heavily involved in fire. Columbia frees one from van in Shenandoah
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 3:30PM on Sunday, December 4, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Shenandoah Fire and EMS to the area of Redner’s Market on the Gold Star Highway for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 6404 responded and was advised of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries. There was no additional information on injuries and everyone was reported to be out of the vehicles. LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – At 2:00 AM on Monday, October 17, Lehigh County Radio dispatched Stations 26 (Orefield), 3 (Cetronia), 11 (Greenwalds) and 32 (Woodlawn) to 5259 Chandler Way for a reported dwelling fire. Responding units were advised that a neighbor called and stated he could see flames coming from a house across from his own. LCR advised they received two calls reporting the fire. Rollover causes large oil spill
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer trying to merge onto Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township lost control and flipped onto its side in the early morning hours of Friday, July 29. The trailer was carrying over 7,000 gallons of used motor oil. As the truck careened out of control, it struck the median ripping open the tank and allowed the contents to flow freely. Tractor trailer lands on its side
LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – A tractor trailer carrying cases of water flipped onto its side in Upper Macungie Township around 6:30 AM on Thursday, July 21. Chief 5601 came upon the accident on Nestle Way and notified Lehigh County 9-1-1 that he would need Fire and EMS services on the scene. Station 8 (Fogelsville), 56 (Upper Macungie) and 62 (Cetronia EMS) were dispatched for the MVA with rollover.
