Frackville & Altamont handle MVA at mall

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 3:00PM on Friday, June 22, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Frackville, Altamont and Englewood Fire Companies with Frackville BLS and Shenandoah ALS to The Schuylkill Mall in the area of the K-Mart Garden Center for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Mahanoy City makes quick hit on house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 7:33 PM on Wednesday, June 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Mahanoy City Fire Department, Frackville Ladder 43-20 and Altamont fire company for their RIT to 24 West Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house fire. Citizens Tower 456 was the first rig on the street and was given additional that police were on scene reporting smoke showing and oxygen cylinders inside.  The Tower arrived on the scene and Lieutenant 456 (Shapanksy) gave a size-up of a two story, end of row with smoke showing from the second floor. One killed in Nurermberg rollover

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – One person was killed in an overnight accident outside Nuremberg.  Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg-Weston Fire and Nuremberg EMS to 318 Hazle Street, Black Creek Township for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries just after 8:30AM on Saturday, June 2. Deputy Chief 582 arrived on the scene and found the accident to be off the Nuremberg by-pass.  The chief found a single vehicle accident with one vehicle on its roof and down an embankment.  Upon further assessment, it was found that a person was still in the vehicle. MAYDAY declared at four alarm fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – After 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 sent the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department to 20 West Main Street in their borough for a reported commercial structure fire.  The fire was reported to be at Schuylkill Gun Works, a local firearms retailer. First arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the rear of the gun shop which was located in the middle of a row in the downtown business district.  A second alarm was immediately struck bringing in crews from Pottsville and Cressona as well as others.  Crews began to stretch initial attack lines. … Continue reading →
