Morning fire in Tamaqua brings second alarm

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – At 8:30 AM on Friday, October 13, the Tamaqua Fire Department and Tamaqua Rescue were dispatched to 501 North Railroad Street in the borough for a possible house fire. Tamaqua EMS was responding to a different incident and quickly reported they could see a working fire in the area.  First responding units were advised they were going to find a working fire. Police rescue two from Mahanoy Twp. house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. – Just after midnight, the Mahanoy City Fire Department was dispatched with Shenandoah Engine 742, Ryan Twp. Tanker 26-30 and Hometown Tanker 25-30 to the 900 Block of West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township for a reported house fire with possible entrapment. Fire rips through Schuylkill Haven home, damages neighboring exposure

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 4 AM on Thursday, September 21, the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 13 East Liberty Street in their borough for a reported house on fire. Initial calls reported the rear of the house on fire and was quickly confirmed by police on scene.  Chief 63 requested RIT to the scene from Pottsville.  The Chief arrived on scene and assumed command. Dog perishes in Schuylkill Haven area fire; basement fire extinguishes itself

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just as the 63rd Annual Schuylkill County Firemen’s Association Convention prepares to take over Schuylkill Haven on Saturday, the fire department battled a house fire in North Manheim Township Thursday afternoon. Shortly after 2:30 PM on Thursday, September 14, the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 94 Weavers Road in North Manheim Township for a reported house fire. Rubbish burns near Hazle Township building, PPL sent to scene

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Just before noon on Thursday, August 10, Hazle Township Fire/Rescue was dispatched to the area of PNC Bank on Susquehanna Blvd. in Hazle Township for a wire down.  Moments later, the tones were again set off for the same area on reports of a commercial structure fire. Nuremberg puts quick hit on Eagle Rock house fire

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 12:20 PM on Sunday, August 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Nuremberg-Weston Vol. Fire Company and Sheppton-Oneida Vol Fire Company to 174 North Iroquois Circle in Eagle Rock (Black Creek Township) for a reported house fire.  Hazle Township Fire & Rescue was also due on the box from Luzerne County. Fire in restroom damages Shenandoah Burger King

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 10:47 PM on Tuesday, July 19, the Shenandoah Fire Department was dispatched to the Burger King at 331 South Main Street for an investigation at the request of the police department.  The response was quickly upgraded to a building fire as police then reported a fire in the bathroom. Shenandoah firefighters find trash fire in vacant building

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 4:48 PM on Saturday, May 6, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Fire Department to the area of South Vine and West Cherry Streets in the borough for a trash fire. Crews arrived on the scene to find tires and other debris on fire in the basement of a vacant brick building once used in a mining operation behind Boyer’s Food Market. Car burns along Route 924 outside Shenandoah

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 11:30 PM on Friday, May 5, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Shenandoah Heights Fire Company to the area of 818 Shenandoah Highway near the entrance to the Wind Farm for an automobile fire. Engine 881 went responding and was advised of a report of a vehicle fire off the roadway near the entrance to the Wind Farm between Shenandoah and Brandonville on Route 924. Fire damages Palo Alto garage

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 6:15 AM on Tuesday, May 2, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched fire crews to the area of East Savory and William Streets in Palo Alto for a working building fire.  The first alarm assignment included Palo Alto Fire, Fire District 59 (Port Carbon) and Pottsville Stations 20, 30 & 60.
