Shamokin apartment building fire requires multiple alarms

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Just before 11 PM on Saturday, February 11, the Shamokin Fire Bureau was dispatched to the area of 337 West Spruce Street Street in the City for a report of an apartment building fire.  The address was quickly updated to 45 South 5th Street for a working fire in apartment 4. Vehicle strikes rock, injures one in East Union Township

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Sheppton-Oneida firefighters were dispatched at 9:22 AM on Tuesday, February 7 by Schuylkill County 9-1-1 to the area of 489 Main Boulevard in East Union Township for a vehicle crash with injuries. Shenandoah EMS was also due on the response. Rescue Engine 9-10 went responding and was advised of a single vehicle crash with one injury.  The Engine arrived on scene to find a single vehicle in the middle of the roadway with heavy front-end damage after striking a large rock off the road and an injured person sitting in the roadway. Head-on crash outside Nuremberg

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 6:11 PM on February 4, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the Nuremberg-Weston Volunteer Fire Company to the area of 22 Nuremberg Mountain Road in Black Creek Township for a vehicle crash with unknown injuries.  Luzerne Ambulance 577 (Sugarloaf) was also due on the call. Engine 582 and Engine 583 responded to the crash and found a two vehicle head-on collision in the middle of the mountain separating Nuremberg and Fern Glen.  All occupants were self-extricated upon arrival. LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – At 5:20 AM on Monday, January 30, Luzerne County 9-1-1 dispatched Hazle Twp. Eight suffer smoke inhalation at W. Hazleton basement fire

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA – Around 4AM on Saturday, January 28, West Hazleton Fire 183 and EMS 583 were sent to 13 Jackson Avenue in West Hazleton Borough for a structure fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a working basement fire.  Two lines were stretched off 183 Engine 1 while 183 Engine 2 laid supply line into the scene.  183 Truck and 183 Rescue staged behind Engine 1 and sent their crews to the building. Shenandoah Heights finds smoke in a dwelling

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 8:29 PM on Friday, January 27, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the first alarm assignment to 379 Ohio Avenue in West Mahanoy Township (Shenandoah Heights) for a garage fire.  The first alarm included the West Mahanoy Twp. FD (Heights, William Penn & Altamont), Shenandoah FD (Squrt 745 & Engine 742), Mahanoy City Rescue 993 and Englewood RIT. Engine 881 and Squrt 745 arrived on the scene to find a moderate smoke condition throughout the residence with a malfunctioning oil burner.  The box was held to West Mahanoy units and Squrt 745.

Four people hurt in crash outside Sheppton

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 5:48 AM on Friday, January 27, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida) to 859 Main Boulevard in East Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries.  Shenandoah ALS was also due on the call. Medic 6402 responded and was advised of a two vehicle crash and 9-1-1 was now getting reports of entrapment.  The assignment was upgraded to a rescue dispatch and brought Mahanoy City West End Rescue 993 to the scene. Ringtown upgrades to working fire, strikes the second

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 3:45 PM on Friday, January 20, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched the 1st alarm assignment to 198 East Main Street in Ringtown Borough for smoke in a house.  The assignment included Districts 30 (Ringtown Valley) and 9 (Sheppton-Oneida) with Shenandoah (SQ745, E742 and T759), Mahanoy City (T461 and R993) and Columbia County Tanker 353 (Aristes).  Shenandoah ALS was also due. Pottsville finds fire showing from single family dwelling

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:15 PM on Wednesday, January 18, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 transmitted Box 28 for the address of 113 South Jackson Street in the City of Pottsville for reports of a house on fire.  The Pottsville Bureau of Fire was due on the box.
