One ejected in single vehicle crash

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 1:43 PM on Friday, March 28, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida) and Nuremberg EMS to the area of Nuremberg Road and Cove Mountain Drive in East Union Township for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Engine 09-10 was advised of a single vehicle accident, a car into the woods with unknown injuries.  The Engine arrived on scene to find a firefighter already on scene reporting the driver of the vehicle to be ejected from the vehicle.  The crash was also found to be in North Union Township.  Command requested Nuremberg Fire … Continue reading

Helmet cam video: 3rd Alarm Restaurant Fire

Firefighters from throughout Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties battled a large fire at Damenti’s Restaurant in Butler Township, Luzerne County, PA.  Dozens of tankers were brought into the scene in an attempt to establish a water supply.  Crews were on scene for over 6 hours before the blaze was extinguished. Camper catches fire outside Schuylkill Mall

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:53 PM on Monday, February 24, Schuylkill County 911 dispatched Fire District 43 (Frackville), Altamont and Englewood fire companies to 958 Mall Road in New Castle Township at the Holiday Inn Express for a vehicle fire. Engine 43-15 went responding and was advised of multiple calls received reporting a camper on fire in the parking lot.  It was unknown if anyone was in the vehicle.  The engine spotted a large column of smoke as they were coming out of Frackville and knew they were going to work. Schuylkill Haven makes quick work of house fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 3:30 PM on Tuesday, February 18, the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 404 East Main Street in the borough for a reported house on fire.  First responding units were advised of a working house fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire showing from a two and a half story end of row dwelling.  Schuylkill Hose Engine 732 took the A/B corner and began stretching lines. Mahanoy City basement fire

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Around 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 18, the Mahanoy City Fire Department and Frackville Ladder 43-20 were dispatched to 1202 East Pine Street in Mahanoy City for a reported house on fire with entrapment.  Mahanoy City EMS arrived on the scene and confirmed a working basement fire with all occupants out of the building. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:59 AM on Wednesday, January 29, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 9 (Sheppton-Oneida) and Shenandoah ALS to 400 Main Blvd. in the area of the bottom of the Sheppton mountain for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – At 2:22 AM on Monday, January 27, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Butler Twp. (Englewood and Fountain Springs) to 717 West John Street in the Englewood section of the township for a reported house on fire.  Frackville and Altamont fire were also on the first alarm assignment. Truck travels over embankment on Frackville – St. Clair Grade

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Just before 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 25, Fire District 43 (Frackville), Englewood and Altamont fire companies were dispatched with Frackville EMS to the Frackville – St. Clair Grade (Route 61) in the area of “Dead Man’s Curve” for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injury. Heating unit draws 1st alarm assignment to nursing home

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA – Shortly after 6:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, Schuylkill County 9-1-1 dispatched Fire District 43 (Frackville) with Englewood, Altamont and Mahanoy City Tower 456 to Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Frackville for smoke in a nursing home.  Shenandoah ALS and Frackville BLS were also on the assignment.
